Ar. Hrishikesh Arun Madane

Ar. Hrishikesh Arun Madane is a partner at Madane Design Workshop, bringing a global design perspective and expertise in contemporary architecture, sustainable development, and large-scale project execution. With a strong passion for innovation and performance-driven design, he plays a key role in shaping the studio's architectural vision through a thoughtful balance of creativity, functionality, and contextual sensitivity.

He completed his architectural studies at the University of Pune, India, and earned a master's degree in high-rise and long-span design from the Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago. His international exposure strengthened his understanding of advanced building technologies, sustainable design strategies, and evolving global architectural practices.

Hrishikesh began his professional journey with Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture, contributing to high-performance and sustainable projects across India, the United States, and the UAE. His experience includes landmark developments such as Elphinstone Mills Tower, Jupiter Mills Tower, the Dharavi Redevelopment Project, and several large-scale developments in Dubai.

Prior to Madane Design Workshop, he worked with Sandeep Shikre & Associates on significant projects including Kohinoor Square Towers, Piramal Aranya Twin Towers, Courtyard Marriott Hyderabad, and the Sunteck Realty head office.

Today, he continues to lead architecture and interior projects across more than 40 cities in India and international markets, driving the firm's vision towards sustainability, net-zero design, innovation, and creating future-ready environments that deliver meaningful and lasting experiences.

Ar. Rasika Hrishikesh Madane

Ar. Rasika Hrishikesh Madane is a founding partner of Madane Design Workshop and the creative mind behind the studio's design philosophy and experiential approach. An explorer by nature and an artist at heart, her passion for design is deeply influenced by creativity, movement, and culture. As a designer and performer with a strong artistic foundation, she brings a distinctive perspective that blends functionality with emotional and human-centered experiences.

A graduate with honors from the University of Pune, Rasika received the prestigious gold medal awarded by the President of India for exemplary achievement in a design competition, an early recognition of her commitment to innovation and design excellence. This accomplishment laid the foundation for her belief that every project should be approached with originality, sensitivity, and a multidimensional design vision.

Before co-founding Madane Design Workshop, Rasika began her professional journey with architect Hafeez Contractor in Mumbai, where she gained valuable exposure to large-scale architecture and design environments. She later worked as a project architect at DP Architects India, the Indian practice of the renowned Singapore-based design firm, where she developed extensive expertise in conceptual design, planning, and project execution across diverse sectors.

Throughout her professional journey, she contributed to several landmark projects including Spring Mills Towers in Mumbai, GCorp Mall and Ista Hotel in Pune, Technopolis IT Park in Kolkata, Pullman and Novotel hotels in New Delhi, and the IIT campus in Hyderabad. Her work across hospitality, mixed-use developments, commercial projects, educational institutions, and large-scale urban environments strengthened her understanding of design at multiple scales.

Today, Rasika continues to shape Madane Design Workshop through a thoughtful design approach that combines creativity, functionality, and contextual sensitivity, creating environments that inspire meaningful experiences and lasting value, designing and building architecture and interiors in more than 40 cities across India and across continents.

Akshay Arun Madane

Akshay Arun Madane is the founder and creative force behind Madane Design Workshop, a design-build practice dedicated to crafting thoughtful, timeless, and transformative spaces. Since founding the organization in 2008, he has led its evolution from a humble garage-based startup in Mumbai into a recognized multidisciplinary interior design and execution firm delivering exceptional experiences across hospitality, commercial, residential, and retail sectors.

Akshay's journey reflects an uncommon combination of entrepreneurial vision, business acumen, and design leadership. A graduate in hospitality management from IIHM Kolkata, he began his professional career with Taj Hotels, Mumbai, where he developed a strong understanding of customer experience, operational excellence, and service-driven environments. Seeking wider exposure in business strategy and market dynamics, he further expanded his expertise through roles with Standard Chartered and ICICI Bank, gaining valuable experience in finance, marketing, and business development.

Driven by a passion for creating spaces and building enterprises, Akshay transitioned into the design industry and strengthened his technical expertise in interior design and project execution through his association with 18 Degrees Architects. Bringing together knowledge from hospitality, finance, and design, he laid the foundation for a holistic design-build practice that seamlessly integrates creativity with execution.

Today, under his leadership, Madane Design Workshop has successfully delivered more than 500 design-build projects ranging from 5,000 sq. ft. to over 200,000 sq. ft. With an unwavering commitment to innovation, craftsmanship, and purposeful design, Akshay continues to shape spaces that elevate experiences and create lasting value.

Priyanka Akshay Madane

Priyanka Akshay Madane is a partner in business development & sales at Madane Design Workshop, leading the firm's growth strategy, client relationships, and business expansion initiatives. With a dynamic blend of hospitality expertise, relationship management, and market-driven thinking, she plays a key role in strengthening the studio's presence across commercial, hospitality, residential, and design-build sectors.

Priyanka brings a strong foundation in client engagement and customer experience, developed through her professional journey in the hospitality industry with The Oberoi, Mumbai. Her exposure to luxury service environments helped cultivate an in-depth understanding of customer expectations, experience design, and relationship-building, qualities that continue to define her approach to business leadership.

With an entrepreneurial mindset and a natural ability to build meaningful partnerships, she drives business development through strategic networking, market expansion, and client-focused solutions. She actively contributes to identifying emerging opportunities, nurturing long-term collaborations, and aligning business objectives with the firm's design vision.

Her diverse interests and continuous pursuit of learning further strengthen her global perspective, including certifications in WSET Level 1 & 2 from the Wine & Spirit Education Trust, London, along with French language proficiency. These experiences contribute to a broader understanding of international culture, lifestyle, and evolving market trends.

Today, Priyanka continues to play a pivotal role in shaping Madane Design Workshop's growth journey by connecting creativity with business strategy. She leads initiatives focused on client experience, brand development, strategic partnerships, and expanding the firm's reach across India and international markets, supporting the studio's vision towards innovation, sustainability, and future-focused growth.
